Sonendo Announces Two New DSO Partnerships for its GentleWave System
Sonendo, a dental technology company known for its GentleWave® System for root canal cleaning procedures, has recently signed strategic partnership agreements with two leading endodontic Dental Service Organizations (DSOs). These agreements aim to enhance patient access to advanced root canal treatments by making the GentleWave System with CleanFlow™ Technology available in more endodontic practices across the United States. While Sonendo did not disclose the specific DSOs, they are a growing trend across the United States driving integration of multiple practices to leverage best-in-class practice management solutions, office management, marketing tools, and leverage purchasing power when compared to smaller or sole practitioner practices.
Michael Smith, Chief Commercial Officer at Sonendo, emphasized the influential role of DSOs in driving technological advancements in the dental industry. He stated, “With this, we look forward to working with our new DSO specialty partners to further our mission to save teeth and improve lives.”
Sonendo recently announced the launch of its second-generation CleanFlow™ Procedure Instrument for use with the GentleWave® System for root canal cleaning procedures. The GentleWave® System is an advanced endodontic platform that provides cleaning and disinfection of the root canal system with minimal instrumentation offering a less invasive2 alternative to conventional root canal treatments. The GentleWave System is FDA approved and the company has placed over 1,000 devices to date and over one million patients have been treated with the device. Every year in the United States there are 19 million root canal procedures and Sonendo believes the total U.S. market for its device is $1.9 billion.
