
Hinge Health Launches Enhancements to Women’s Pelvic Health Program
Hinge Health, a prominent player in helping individuals overcome musculoskeletal pain, has announced significant enhancements to its Women’s Pelvic Health Program, introduced in 2022. In addition to the comprehensive care already provided by the company’s physical therapists and board-certified women’s health coaches, the program now includes guided breathing and meditation, along with a software-connected pelvic floor training device for tracking kegel exercises and providing real-time biofeedback on strengthening progress. The Women’s Pelvic Health Program has experienced significant adoption and effectiveness, with over 15,000 participants enrolling since its launch in May 2023. An internal analysis revealed that participants experienced substantial improvements in pelvic health conditions over a 12-week period. These improvements included an average pain reduction of 63%, a 57% average decrease in symptoms, and a 55% average reduction in surgery intent. Furthermore, there were significant improvements in mental health outcomes, with 40% fewer participants screening positive for anxiety. Additionally, higher work productivity was reported during the 12-week period. The enhancements to the program include new pelvic floor training including specialized exercise guidance with Perifit’s software-connected pelvic floor trainer device. It provides real-time biofeedback on pelvic floor strengthening progress, ensuring that kegel exercises are performed correctly. This device is available at no additional cost to eligible Hinge Health members. Additionally members now have access to breathing guidance which incorporates a new breathing and meditation experience aims to reduce stress, anxiety, and muscle tension, all of which can help address pelvic health symptoms. This guided meditation has shown potential benefits in reducing urinary incontinence symptoms, easing menopause symptoms, and reducing pelvic pain and discomfort.
