Bio-Techne Integrates Maurice Chromotography Platform With Thermo Scientific Chromeleon Data System
Bio-Techne Corporation (NASDAQ: TECH) has announced the launch of the Maurice Chromeleon Driver Kit, a new innovation that enables seamless control of its Maurice™ instrument using the Thermo Scientific™ Chromeleon™ Chromatography Data System (CDS). With this development, scientists gain the capability to harness the power of Chromeleon CDS to analyze protein charge and size data generated by the Maurice system. The collaboration between two industry leaders will elevate the capabilities of analytical laboratories, streamlining data analysis and management workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity while performing chromatography analysis.
Chromeleon CDS is widely used by laboratories and industries that rely on chromatography for a wide array of applications, including quality control, research, and development. Its can enhance productivity, ensure data integrity, and facilitate compliance with regulatory requirements. The Maurice system has the ability to provide insights into charge heterogeneity, size, and impurity profiles of biotherapeutic drugs. Maurice, uses capillary electrophoresis technology and offers automation for both size and charge-based protein analysis. IT can analyze cIEF (capillary isoelectric focusing) or CE-SDS (capillary electrophoresis-sodium dodecyl sulfate) data for monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), vaccines, or virus-like particles. The instrument is designed to be user-friendly. Users can insert one of the preassembled cartridges, load their sample vials or a 96-well plate, and initiate the process. This streamlined workflow allows researchers to complete method development within a day and obtain high-resolution, reproducible data in just minutes.
One of the key advantages of this integration is the ability to effortlessly interrogate capillary electrophoresis (CE) data alongside other chromatographic techniques. This holistic approach provides scientists with a more comprehensive understanding of their samples, fostering greater confidence in research outcomes.
Will Geist, President of Bio-Techne’s Protein Sciences segment, expressed his enthusiasm for this groundbreaking integration, stating, “We are thrilled to introduce the integration of our Maurice CE instrument with Chromeleon CDS. This partnership furthers our commitment to advancing analytical technologies, simplifying workflows, and empowering scientists to achieve their research goals more efficiently.”
