
AdvaMed Announces New Digital Health Tech Division
AdvaMed has announced the establishment of AdvaMed Digital Health Tech, a new division dedicated to representing digital medical technology companies and advocating for the crucial role of data and digital medtech in healthcare transformation. This division will focus on four core policy areas: regulation, payment and healthcare delivery, data stewardship and privacy, and cybersecurity.
The Digital Health Tech division will be led by Shaye Mandle and Taha Kass-Hout, who will serve as the first chair of the group. Taha Kass-Hout currently holds the position of Chief Technology Officer at GE HealthCare and is a recognized leader in the field of digital health.
Scott Whitaker, AdvaMed President and CEO, emphasized the rapid evolution of digital technology in healthcare and its profound impact on patient care. He noted that this new division will enable AdvaMed to expand its work in digital health policy, especially with the proliferation of AI and digital health platforms into the healthcare system.
Taha Kass-Hout expressed his honor in leading the AdvaMed Digital Health Tech Board of Directors and highlighted the significant advancements in digital health that are reshaping healthcare. He stressed the importance of integrating cutting-edge AI-powered digital solutions for the betterment of patient care worldwide.
The AdvaMed Digital Health Tech division’s Board of Directors includes representatives from leading companies in the digital health sector, including GE HealthCare, Johnson & Johnson, ResMed, Philips, Stryker, Siemens, Medtronic, Apple, Google, Microsoft, Verily, Applied VR, Amazon, Nanowear, and Baxter.
