4WEB Medical Expands Orthopedic Implant Portfolio with New FDA Approval; Moves Closer to Comprehensive Cervical Solution
Orthopedic implant company 4WEB Medical announced that it has received 510K clearance from the FDA to introduce its latest additions to the orthopedic implant portfolio, which include the Cervical Spine Truss System (CSTS) Integrated Plating Solution and two cervical interbody line extensions designed to address the specific patient needs.
Jonathan Hires, Director of Research and Development at 4WEB Medical, highlighted the significance of the CSTS Integrated Plating Solution, noting that it provides an additional stand-alone treatment option for surgeons and healthcare professionals. He also pointed out the company’s recent successful launch of a non-integrated cervical plating solution and the introduction of a second-generation cervical interbody fusion device during Q3. Combined with the regulatory clearance for the integrated plate reflect significant momentum, bringing 4WEB Medical closer to completing its comprehensive cervical portfolio by the year’s end.
The company has further plans to introduce an integrated anchor fixation system early in Q4. These product developments, along with the recent regulatory clearance, underscore 4WEB’s commitment to providing an extensive range of cervical fusion constructs that cater to diverse anatomical requirements.
The company’s proprietary technology utilizes the Advanced Structural Design that incorporates its proprietary Truss Implant Technology™. This unique technology harnesses the inherent mechanobiological mechanisms within its truss design to potentially trigger an osteogenic response, which can aid in the fusion of bones.
4WEB’s technology has treated 55,000 patients worldwide, been used in over 70,000 implants, and is used by 900 surgeons worldwide.
